St. George: Labor Day

A few months ago my mom booked tickets for Aladdin at the Tuachan theater in St. George.
I had been wanting to take the kids for a while... and Aladdin sounded fun!
Just a few weeks ago, we realized that the date of Aladdin landed on Lucas' birthday.
Poor kid had to drive in a car for 4 hours on his birthday...
but we tried to make up for it with gifts, birthday breakfast, birthday dinner ect.

Aladdin!
The only downside to Tuachan is that it starts and ends late. Millie was totally out before the show even started! We finally were able to wake her up about 10 minutes into the show.
While I will admit that Aladdin was not their best Disney show I have seen there... the kids loved it. They were mesmerized the whole time.
Thanks Mom and Dad for the tickets!!!

A big thing on our to do list while in St. George was boating!
We haven't been all year... and it was a blast!

Millie and Grammy on the tube!

Tubing wars with Scott and Grammy! Hilarious!

Johnson Canyon
We went on an awesome, but HOT hike on Sunday afternoon.
We saw an arch that reminded us a lot of Lake Powell!
At the end there was a small pond with polliwogs.
This hike would be more fun when it's cooler and the polliwogs are frogs!

Looking at the polliwogs with Grandpa and Grammy

The last morning my dad took us to the lake again for an early morning ski!
There is nothing quite like skiing on glass in the morning.

Thanks Mom and Dad for an awesome weekend!!!

Lucas' Birthday: Papa & Nana's

Lucas' birthday just keeps on going and going! What a lucky kid!
Nana and Papa didn't disappoint this kid one little bit!
These Magformers are awesome! Put them on your kids Christmas list... now!
Lucas is obsessed with them.

ooohhh and homemade goodness from Nana!
Now Millie and Lucas can cook in style!

Looks like Lucas is leaving Scott hanging...

special requested cake from Lucas...
Oreo Ice Cream cake with homemade hot fudge.
Good stuff.

Thanks Nana and Papa for the awesome celebration and great gifts!

Lucas' Birthday: BFF party

Lucas turned five! I can't believe it!
This year he really really wanted to have a friend party.
Because of moving houses, changing schools, changing wards we didn't have much of a list.
So, instead of a traditional party, we decided to take Lucas' two BFF's to lunch and a movie!
I think the boys had a good time... and Lucas thought it was the coolest to have his friends for the day!

Chick-a-fila for lunch
The kids played in the play area, ate lunch, ate dunford donuts, and opened presents.
I was glad for some seating outside so we didn't look like a total circus!

Birthday boy

Not the greatest picture... but we had to document that Millie was there!

This is the best picture of the day...
Hilarious!
I think they were having fun, don't you?

Crew, Lucas, Beck

I love the present hover at birthday parties!

Scott and Millie were there for lunch, but I took the boys solo to the movie.
They did so great! The only crazy moment was when all 3 needed to use the bathroom at once.
There was a lady in there waiting in line. She thought I was CRAZY for having all these boys in the bathroom by myself! Ha!

The boys outside the theater

The three boys had a great time at the movies!
Thanks for coming Crew and Beck!
Happy Birthday Lucas!

Lucas' Birthday: Presents & Breakfast

We had plans to drive to St. George on Lucas' birthday for Labor Day weekend... so we needed to do some celebrating before we went!

The morning of Lucas' big day he woke up to a BIG gift!
He was surprised and a little confused as to why this was inside and not outside.

{my camera was dead when I turned it on this morning. of course. so, iphone pics here}

These two fight constantly! However they do have their loving moments.
This is one of them.

Our new favorite place to go to eat is Kneaders for breakfast!
If you haven't eaten Kneaders Cinnamon Bread French Toast... you. must. go. NOW!
Lucas was pretty excited to have his Dad come and join us for breakfast that morning!

Nana joined us as well!

Happy Birthday Lucas!!!

Anya's Birthday

The quality of these pictures are quite bad... but they were too funny not to share.
These are of me and the kids on my actual birthday...
(I was headed to work in a few short minutes)
Scott captured some great moments of blowing out the candles!

Happy Birthday Millie Girl!

Millie's party was an extremely low key event.
When Lucas and I asked her if she wanted cake or cookies for her party she responded...
COO COO'S!
So, instead of cake we had 3 different kinds of cookies and milk.
Oatmeal Chocolate Chip. Orange Kissed Sugar. Orange Creamsicle.

I had been wanting to get Millie a kitchen since Christmas...
So I was pretty excited to see her face when she saw her new kitchen for her birthday.
I didn't capture her face on camera... but she was super excited!

Millie sure loves her Grandparents!

After cookies and presents we headed to swim.

I love it when kids crowd around to see the birthday kid open presents!
hilarious!

Sarah and Steve brought their kids to join in the fun!
Thanks for coming guys!
