Fall: Halloween Costumes

This year for Halloween Lucas was an army guy and Millie was Minnie Mouse!
They had a great time dressing up and participating in all the events of Halloween...

We went to all of the following:
Pre-school Parade
Friends Halloween Party
Family Halloween Party
Trick or Treating

On the actual night of Halloween I took very few pictures... so the day after I had the kids dress up for one final time to take some pictures in the back yard.

Fall: Halloween Night

Halloween night was a good night.
We didn't know quite what to expect from the kids.
Lucas in the past hasn't loved trick or treating.... so
we weren't super anxious to get out the door.
It turns out that Lucas LOVED trick or treating this year...
and Millie could have done it all night long!
We will be getting an earlier start next Halloween.

Halloween was crazy warm this year. It was super nice.
We went for chili at the Neidigs and trick or treating in my parents neighborhood.
The kids got loads of candy... and had a blast!
A night well spent.

Fall: Crafting

The kids and I had a fun afternoon creating skeletons from Qtips!
Lucas cut, I glued, Millie made a mess.
Didn't they turn out cute?!
Thank you pinterest.

Fall: Pumpkin Patch

Since we live in Riverton now...
there are many many pumpkin patches to choose from! (hello farm town!)
We decided this year to check one out.
Not only was it super fun to walk up and down the rows to find your perfect pumpkin,
it was super cheap too!
Six pumpkins for 11 bucks!

Halloween 2011

Halloween was a fun filled day at our house...
Lucas started a new awesome preschool and of course all the fun Halloween activities!
Before we headed out to Nana and Papa's, we took some pictures of some uncooperative children...

Meet Luke the Farmer...

Isn't his tractor AWESOME!??
My Dad promised to make him a tractor at the end of September...
Luke doesn't forget about many things and kept asking my Dad if he made the tractor yet.
Well, Halloween morning my Mom and Dad came to the house with his tractor!
Luke was so excited... and Scott and I were seriously impressed with their mad skills!
(I am 100% sure that Grandpa and Grammy tackled this project!)

Meet Millie the Cow...

I am not quite sure why she has her hands over her ears...
maybe she was sick of me saying her name over and over so she would look at the camera.

This is her new thing. Covering her eyes =  hiding from Mom.

This girl is waaaay too busy to take any pictures...

Luke figured out that his exhaust pipe was a good treat bag holder.

In the end the kids went Trick or Treating to about 3 houses and then they were done.
The did enjoy however passing out all the candy at my parents house.
I have never seen kids get such a kick out of it. They could have done that all night long!

Halloween Family Party

My parents have an annual Halloween Family Party one Sunday before Halloween.
We had homemade pizza and salad... and sugar cookies!
The kids had a great time with all of the activities that my parents had planned.

They dressed up...

Played Halloween Bingo...

and pin the nose on the pumpkin...

Millie was VERY pleased with herself!

carved pumpkins...

took some pictures for Elder Aaron...

and played outside.

Farmer Luke kissing Millie Moo goodnight!

Thanks to Grammy and Grandpa for such a fun night!

Gardner Village

Gardner Village is such a fun Halloween stop!
In my opinion, the Witch Fest is waaaaay better than their Christmas Elves.

This was the kids second trip there this year. By the second trip Lucas had picked his favorite witches and wanted to show Grammy where all of them were. Lucas has such a great memory... he just gave us a little tour of the Witches that day.

Grammy and the kids... at the piano witch.

this was Lucas' FAVORITE witch!
WITCHY POO!
He thought this was hilarious... seriously laugh out loud entertainment here folks.

(my camera is malfunctioning... sorry for the blurry picture)

Thanks Grammy for the fun afternoon!

Treat or Treating

Trick or Treating was a little wet this year but that didn't keep us from having a little fun. You can see that Millie is definately thrilled about her Lady Bug situation. I don't think she would have minded too much, but she kept getting so hot! Hence, the flushed cheeks.

We've made it a little tradition to go to the Neidig's for chili and breadsticks on Halloween and then off to the Phillips' for a little Trick or Treating. We had a good time... even though it was a complete battle to get Luke to dress up this year.

Trick or Treating at the "spooky" house in my parents circle. It's quite the display of Halloween goodness.
