Christmas Eve

Annual Christmas Eve sledding was really snowy and cold this year!
Lucas had a great time tubing with grandpa and dad!
He went down all the big hills and wasn't nervous at all.
Millie loves the thrill of the rides... but she just got too cold after a few runs!
Grammy and Grandpa were so good at taking turns taking her in the yurts to warm up.
As always, this tradition is something we look forward to each year and it doesn't disappoint!

Hot chocolate and home made sugar cookies!
The best part!

After sledding we headed over to the Neidig's for our annual fondue night!
We also play out the nativity and open cousin and sibling gifts.
Such a fun and yummy night!!!
We look forward to fondue the whole year.
This year we went back to the roots of the cheese fondue...
The consistency was good... but the flavor is always better with the good cheese!
Scott would disagree with me.

Lucas and Papa playing Lincoln Logs from Deacon!

I love Lucas' face here. He is so content!

Lucas and I made special cookies for Santa and Christmas Dinner!
He made sure to leave out cookies and milk for Santa and carrots for the reindeer!

Fall: Cornbelly's

Cornbelly's is probably one of the kids favorite fall activities.
We were able to go twice this year and the kids had a blast!
Thanks to Nana for taking us the first time... the kids look forward to it every year!

This slide was a new addition this year.
It was awesome fun!

Lucas is such a good big brother.
Millie adores him...

Lucas was very proud of his life size Lincoln Log project!

These crazy kids loved the pillow and kid slides!
Millie was a dare devil going down fast and on her tummy over and over!

Utah State Fair

For some reason I really wanted to go to the fair this year.
I had never been and I thought that the kids would really love it.
Well, now I can say that I have been.
Here's what I thought...
it was super over priced and ghetto.
But... the kids had a blast!
Lucas is already asking to go again.

I realize that more than half of these iPhone pictures are blurry.
Sorry... memories must be documented.

St. George: Labor Day

A few months ago my mom booked tickets for Aladdin at the Tuachan theater in St. George.
I had been wanting to take the kids for a while... and Aladdin sounded fun!
Just a few weeks ago, we realized that the date of Aladdin landed on Lucas' birthday.
Poor kid had to drive in a car for 4 hours on his birthday...
but we tried to make up for it with gifts, birthday breakfast, birthday dinner ect.

Aladdin!
The only downside to Tuachan is that it starts and ends late. Millie was totally out before the show even started! We finally were able to wake her up about 10 minutes into the show.
While I will admit that Aladdin was not their best Disney show I have seen there... the kids loved it. They were mesmerized the whole time.
Thanks Mom and Dad for the tickets!!!

A big thing on our to do list while in St. George was boating!
We haven't been all year... and it was a blast!

Johnson Canyon
We went on an awesome, but HOT hike on Sunday afternoon.
We saw an arch that reminded us a lot of Lake Powell!
At the end there was a small pond with polliwogs.
This hike would be more fun when it's cooler and the polliwogs are frogs!

The last morning my dad took us to the lake again for an early morning ski!
There is nothing quite like skiing on glass in the morning.

Thanks Mom and Dad for an awesome weekend!!!

Lucas' Birthday: Presents & Breakfast

We had plans to drive to St. George on Lucas' birthday for Labor Day weekend... so we needed to do some celebrating before we went!

The morning of Lucas' big day he woke up to a BIG gift!
He was surprised and a little confused as to why this was inside and not outside.

{my camera was dead when I turned it on this morning. of course. so, iphone pics here}

These two fight constantly! However they do have their loving moments.
This is one of them.

Our new favorite place to go to eat is Kneaders for breakfast!
If you haven't eaten Kneaders Cinnamon Bread French Toast... you. must. go. NOW!
Lucas was pretty excited to have his Dad come and join us for breakfast that morning!

Nana joined us as well!

Happy Birthday Lucas!!!

Happy Birthday x3

At the end of May we have THREE birthdays in a row...

May 24th Millie
May 25th Grandpa Jim
May 26th Anya

The Sunday before the big trio we had dinner and cake at my parents.
Grandpa and I opened presents and we had cake and ice cream!
The kids loved helping him open his presents...
(we saved Millie's presents until her birthday party)

Lucas couldn't miss out on all the birthday action!

Man, Grandpa is a tease! Anyone surprised?

The three birthday peeps!

I have a feeling we'll be having a triple birthday celebration for many years to come!
