This year for July 4th we (our little family) went to St. George and Las Vegas for a little R&R. It was fun to get away just us and relax. In St. George we stayed in my parents town home (thanks mom and dad!) and in Vegas we stayed at the Monte Carlo. We did lots of fun things while we were gone. Here are some of the highlights...
In downtown St. George there is a public park (not sure of the name) with outdoor water fountains and rivers for kids to play in. Because the water isn't deep, Lucas was able to walk around and play independently. He was in heaven.

Please ignore the crooked smile and not so flattering sunglasses on you know who.

For the Forth of July we decided to go to the local festivities. There was face painting, rides, food, performers ect. It was oh so hot... but oh so fun.
This is Lucas in our spot for fireworks.

We thought it would be funny to watch the hot dog eating contest. I was really disappointed that no one lost their lunch over it. Darn.

Lucas wasn't so sure about the rides there... but we gave it a go anyway.

Maybe the tastiest part of the day. Snow cones.

We thought it would be fun to go to Vegas and stay a night in a hotel. We walked the strip to eat at The Cheesecake Factory and watch the fountains and the Beligio.

At the Monte Carlo, they have a wave pool and a lazy river. Lucas of course loved the pool and being outside.

We went to this park more than once during our stay in St. George. It's the funkiest park I have ever seen. But, it's always packed with kids and obviously loads of fun.

One of the best parts was relaxing in the air conditioning in my parents town home. There is an empty lot next to the town home and for some reason mice and bunnies like to live there... this is a picture of Lucas watching the bunnies on the lawn before we got out of the car.

A new bike purchased at Walmart in St. George for Lucas

A great trip with two of my favorite boys. This is one of my favorite pictures of the whole bunch. We spent every evening on the porch eating popsicles. So fun.
