Toddler Prayers

In the past 2-3 weeks Lucas has become a parrot. He will try to repeat anything that you ask him to. Sometimes he gets it and sometimes he doesn't. But, overall, he is doing great. Because of his new parrot trick, we decided to try and teach him how to pray. It goes like this:

Me: Dear
Lucas: Dear
Me: Heavenly
Lucas: Heavenly
Me: Father
Lucas: Father
Me: Thank you
Lucas: Thank you
Me: for
Lucas: for
Me: this
Lucas: this
Me: day.
Lucas: day.
Me: Please
Lucas: Please
Me: bless
Lucas: bless

--- well you get the point---

A 3 sentenced prayer takes about 5 minutes. All the while Lucas is looking around his room smiling. It's pretty funny and cute. Gotta start somewhere, right?!

That is great! We thought Reagan had it down, but she is reverting and now all of her prayers are as follows: "dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this day. Bless the food. In the name..." and she is done. The attention span of my 2 yr. old is obviously not very long.

That is adorable! Logan is really good at saying amen but he likes mom to say the prayer every time and Bry doesn't mind that either
