Christmas morning was a blast at the Neidig home! This year we stayed home in the early morning hours to open presents with just our little family. It was nice to kick back and enjoy the presents we had gotten for Lucas and for each other.
We weren't quite sure what to get Lucas for Christmas this year. It seemed like he was in between ages for all of the toys. We decided to get him Geo Tracks and they were a hit! Lucas was in heaven playing with his very own train that moved on it's own.
I am pretty sure Scotty had just as much fun as Lucas...
Looking to see how it all works!
Scott really got me this year with a HUGE surprise. We had talked about getting a MacBook a few months prior to Christmas but eventually vetoed it with the baby on the way. The plan was to save every extra dime in order to pay for me being on maternity with out pay. I was totally bummed that we couldn't get the MacBook... but I put on a happy face.
Every day it seemed Scott would ask me what I wanted for Christmas... I always listed my ideas, but the questions kept coming. It was a few days before Christmas and Scott kept saying... "Babe, do you think UPS delivers on Christmas Eve?" "Will you be mad if your present comes a little late?" I totally fell for his mind games and was super surprised when I opened this little nugget on Christmas morning:
The weeks leading up to Christmas if you would ask Lucas what he wanted Santa to bring him he would say
"I don't know".
About 2 weeks before Christmas we asked him again what he wanted Santa to bring him and he said... "a Guitar". We were so surprised. A guitar? Where had this come from? This continued with him saying "a Guitar" up until Christmas... good thing we had thought he might like a guitar while Christmas shopping one night several weeks earlier.
After Lucas had opened his Guitar he wanted NOTHING to do with anything else. He didn't care if there were more presents. He got what he wanted, a Guitar.
