Florida {Animal Kingdom}

When we planned the trip to Florida I wasn't pregnant. After we found out that we were... we had to push the trip date up a bit and change some of our plans. I told my parents that I wanted to go to the parks, but not everyday. This was the last day of parks at the tail end of our week. I hadn't been to Animal Kingdom since High School, and Scotty had never been. I had forgotten how awesome it is! Animal Kingdom was my favorite park in Florida.

In the car en route to the Animal Kingdom.

The first ride we went on was the African Safari. It was awesome! All of the animals were out and about because it wasn't too hot. We saw lots and lots of animals. Here were some of our favorites. They were so close, it was very cool.

At Animal Kingdom there are specific "Character Meeting" spots. Before we went to Florida Lucas kept talking about meeting Mickey Mouse and giving him a hug! So, we spent some time waiting in lines to meet some characters. It was well worth the wait!
This is Lucas waiting to see Mickey!

Lucas is shy. He was very nervous when it actually came to walking up to Mickey. Scott took him up and this was about how close Lucas would dare go.

The whole group with Mickey.

Lucas must have been regretting his shyness. After we took the picture of the whole group, Lucas told Scott that he wanted to give Mickey a hug. So... Scott put him down and he walked right over to give Mickey a hug! It was adorable!!!

The view from our table at lunch. This is Adventure Everest. The ride was too big for the boys... but the others thought it was pretty awesome.
All through out Animal Kingdom there were lakes and streams. Animals in their true environment as well as plants and trees from their respected locations. (Asia, Africa, ect) It was like the zoo... but 100% better.

Lucas has a little Pooh Bear that he sleeps with every night... so Pooh Bear was on the list to meet as well. We couldn't believe how few people were in this little nook to meet Pooh, Eeore, and Tigger. It was such a find!
As you can see, Lucas was much more brave this time around!

I am not sure how many people know this but my family calls me Pooh. Really, my dad more than anyone. So, here we are meeting Pooh. Pooh kept touching my belly and laughing. It was a little embarrassing, but funny too.

Might be my favorite shot of the whole trip. Both boys looking adorable with Tig.

Giving a high five to Tigger.

The whole crew with Tigger.

Waiting to see a Bug's Life show.

Hey Anya, did you survive yesterday? And did you get any sleep at all? I was thinking about you when I woke up. It was fun to work with you. Hope we get to do it again (and maybe I won't leave you with all my kids that need to go to the bathroom :)
