Florida {Hollywood Studios}

In mid-March we went to Orlando Florida with my family. My family has always loved Disney... and this trip was no exception. I was totally excited for Lucas to experience Disneyworld. Go on the rides, meet characters, and feel the magic.

The first day we went to Hollywood Studies (formally, MGM Studios).
There are lots of shows and two of the most fun thriller rides in Disneyworld -- Tower of Terror and Rock n' Roll Rollercoaster. Even though I couldn't go on the "big ticket" rides, I was still excited to be there and so was everyone else!

This was right at the beginning of our day. Lucas insisted that he get his picture taken with this truck that he thought was Mayter from the movie Cars.

I knew Lucas would absolutely LOVE this show. It was a Clubhouse Disney show. At the show would be all of the characters that Lucas watches every morning on the Disney channel.
Little Einsteins, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and of course... Handy Manny!
Lucas was in a trance. He LOVED it!

Outside of the Clubhouse Disney show!

These strollers were such a rip off to rent for the day, but it payed off when every day Lucas zonked out for an afternoon nap!

Lucas is at the perfect age for parades. He LOVED this Monsters Inc. parade.
Please note where Lucas is sitting -- on his daddy's shoulders. I am pretty sure he will always have the best seat in the house with his daddy around.

My favorite ride of the day was Toy Story. Such a fun ride, and one that I hadn't been on before. It's like a video game that you are riding in. It was in 3D and super cleaver. Disney doesn't forget any details. Ever.

I asked Lucas to give me a thumbs up for how awesome the ride was. This is what I got... his version of a thumbs up... the pointer finger pointing up. We'll work on that.

By Scotty's standards for the day... Rock n' Roll... the best ride at Hollywood Studios.
I have to admit, I have been on it. It's pretty awesome.

Meeting Lighting McQueen and Mayter from Cars. A definite highlight for the boys.

I took this picture in the dark while waiting for the crew to go on the Tower of Terror. This is a thriller ride and can actually be scary but really fun. Because Lucas is a bit tall for his age, he was tall enough to ride at the age of 2. We had gone back and forth all day... whether or not to let him ride. Well, when all was said and done, he went. It was dark. There was a elevator full of screaming teenage girls. Let's just say it was too much for Lucas. In looking back, we may have ruined him for the entire trip -- ride wise. After this experience, Lucas wasn't too excited to go on any other rides.

That looks like so much fun! I love all the pics and I also love the line, "since Lucas is a bit tall for his age..." Classic!

Hey girl! Look like you guys had a blast! So fun! Loved all the pics....especially the one of Lucas napping in the stroller and then the one of him on Scott's shoulders. You're right....best seat in the house! Don't worry about scaring Lucas with the Tower of Terror ride. The first time Sam went on Splash Mountain she cried and was so mad that we tricked her into go on it. But on our next trip there, that was the ride she most wanted to go on...and loved it!
