A while back, a few girlfriends and I decided we needed to be better about getting together. I put together a schedule of monthly dinners, rotating who plans each month. Well, 3 years later we haven't missed a month! Most everyone comes each time... with the exception of occasional baby births, weddings, and vacations. This past year we have missed seeing Jess on a regular because she is in Physician Assisting school in Idaho. Last night we celebrated several things.... the birth of Miss Taya, my birthday, and Annie's move to Denver to FINALLY live with her husband! It was a fabulous evening full of FOOD (thanks Jo!) and girl talk! (I should have taken a picture of the spread Jo had at her house. We had chips and queso/salsa, drinks, Cafe Rio, and gourmet cupcakes!) We will continue to miss Jess (she is back in Idaho for a few months) and most certainly going to miss Annie! We'll see how long we can carry on this monthly event! I hope for many, many more years!

Getting together with friends is the best! We just did the same thing the other night. I look forward to it every month!
For my cabinets in my kitchen I just added some molding to the middle (since they were flat and ugly), painted them, and added hardware. I had to do a light sand and use a few coats of primer before I painted. It helps to start out with some really ugly countertops and cabinets because no matter what you do it will still look better than what you had :)
