New Years Weekend in St. George

Over New Year's weekend we went to St. George with my parents and Aaron. It was a great time had by all! The weather was warmer than home, but we weren't laying by the pool by any means. It was nice just to get away, sleep, eat, go to the park, go on walks and watch lots of movies.

The first day we went to the park. The sun was out. It felt really nice.
Lucas enjoyed making "pizza" at the park.

The first night, as Scotty was driving down to meet us there, Aaron and I took Lucas to the Princess and the Frog. I loved the show. It took me back to the old school Disney movies with fabulous music! Lucas loved it... but let's be honest... he loved the popcorn and lemonade more!

These are not great pictures of Lucas but I had to document our adventure at the movies... plus you rarely get to see evidence that I actually am present instead of always behind the camera.

There is a park just across the street from my parents townhouse. Within the park there is a Nature Walk complete with a pond and ducks. We only had Wheat Thins and Mini Shredded Wheat, but the ducks didn't seem to mind. My mom and I watched as my dad and Lucas fed the ducks. Lucas did a great job throwing his duck food like "baseballs".

I didn't bring my big camera on this trip... but regretted it for these shots alone.

The last day we went to Fiesta Fun to go Mini Golfing. Lucas loved it! 18 holes was a little long for his attention span, but overall he loved that he got to participate with everyone.

I know what you mean about not being in pictures; I always read that moms need to get in the pictures more. It's like we are the elves that plan, organize, and documement... new goal for 2010!!!

It looks like you may have a future golfer! John would be proud! He's already practicing Blake's golf swing:)

It is always nice to get away - even if it is not on a sandy beach in 85 degree weather :)

Congrats on a baby girl!!! Girls are the best, but beware...you will spend all of your money on all of the cute little girls stuff!
